Health Centre of Terme Čatež

The Health Centre of Terme Čatež ranks among the most successful spa centres in Slovenia owing to its extremely experienced professional medical staff comprised of specialised doctors, physiatrists, orthopaedic doctors, neurosurgeons, kinesiologists, physical education teachers, physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists and masseurs and state-of-the-art equipment.

Already in 1962 the Ministry of Health awarded Terme Čatež status of a natural health resort. Today, treatment and rehabilitation programmes are carried out at the Health Centre at the Čatež Hotel, which is free from architectural obstacles and features a hospital department with round the clock medical supervision.

A significant and extremely successful segment of our medical activity is performed at the department for rehabilitation of athletes, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment. We enjoy the trust of a number of the best professional and recreational athletes who visit us to rehabilitate after injury or test their fitness.

Patient rehabilitation and other activities are carried out at:

• rehabilitation fitness studio,
• four gyms designed for individual or group exercises,
• outpatient clinics,
• therapy premises,
• isokinetic testing room and
• ultrasound diagnostics room.

The thermal springs where Terme Čatež are today were discovered next to the confluence of the Sava and Krka rivers more than 200 years ago. The local people knew even then that the water from Čatež springs was beneficial for the body and soul.
Today patients and guests can enjoy at the pool complex of the Čatež Hotel - indoor pool with whirlpool and massage beds, and outdoor pool of irregular shapes with underwater massage. Pools are where visitors can exercise and pleasantly relax. A special feature is a therapeutic pool with a ramp enabling mobility-impaired persons and wheel-chair users to descend into water and enter the pool without help or lift. Pool water temperature ranges from 32 ⁰ to 36 °C.

The main attraction of Terme Čatež is the thermal pools of the Summer and Winter Thermal Riviera, where guests can bathe 365 days a year. Terme Čatež also provide active and diverse spending of free time as well as well-being of everyone who would like some additional pampering and relaxation.
